Directions
This recipe is a variation of our original Hawaiian-inspired plant-based favorite Hoke Poke. With a spicy kick, this creamier poke is full of probiotics which combine marvelously with Jackfruit’s high soluble fiber content, making it an excellent source of prebiotics. We frequently enjoy this as an appetizer served along with gluten-free crackers, but also sometimes serve it as an entrée along with quinoa or add it to the top of a green salad. Any way you decide to enjoy this seafood-free recipe we are sure your taste buds and gut microbiome will jump for joy. Everyone here at tfc is looking forward to hearing about your results in the comments below!

Process JackfruitOpen cans of jackfruit and drain out all liquid. Place in a bowl lined with cheesecloth and begin to twist the jackfruit tight inside cheesecloth to squeeze out as much liquid as possible (this is essential to ensure the jackfruit can absorb the sauce for optimum flavor). Finally, chop the jackfruit to half-inch sized chunks and place in medium-sized bowl. Set aside. |
